About Us:
Senior Running is the brainchild of head coach Scott Thomason. He is a Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) Certified Running Coach as well as a USA Track & Field level 1 Coach.
As a senior himself, he understand better than most the challenges seniors can face trying to balance staying healthy with running performance. He also loves working with new runners just looking to get started in the sport.
He is passionate about helping seniors reach their health and fitness goals through running. His coaching is based on 3 core principles:

First do no harm. We as coaches have a responsibility toward our athletes to do our best to first and foremost keep them healthy. Even the greatest training plan is a failure if the athlete becomes injured.

All recommendations, training strategies and coaching approaches will be be based on the latest science, not on thoughts or beliefs that can't be substantiated through research.

Have FUN! We fail as coaches if our athletes reach their goals, but hate every minute of their training. We always keep in mind that we CHOOSE to do this activity, so enjoyment is the key to making it a lifelong sport.
